For Idiot Software Engineers :P

Today i went for the movie "3 idiots". Actually one of the best Hindi movies i have seen. Not because of the fun and starcast of the movie, but because of the message the movie wanted to convey. Atleast some of the people like me goes towards that message, and it is actually great for Indian cinemas that the trend they have been following since some years to spread out some social issues and possible solutions. And ofcourse, kudos to Aamir, coz he is more of an assistant director than a good actor. I have observed that from some of his previous movies like Lagaan, RDB. He actually go for these kind of movies which are a little different from the rest ones coz of its theme.

And, we people, software engineers can actually understand that this trend is actually being followed over some years since these IT companies have started recruiting each and every engineer, be it a Mechanical Engineers, Electronics Engineers(that's a different thing that i am also an Electronics and communication Engineer :P) , or Civil Engineers, who haven't studied a bit of software in their 4 years of acads.

People are working, be it interests them or not. But there is a threshhold for everyone, just like Madhavan left his engineering in final year of his B.Tech., if at all your work is not your passion. It may be possible, that one day, after 10 years working in Software Industry, one quits the job and go for wild animals photography or go to spaceship for the rest of his life. It all depends when your mindset gets to change and you may do something which people, at times, call crazy. And if due to some reasons, this at all cannot happen (which is true for most of people) , mental stress will continue to increase, i guess. And in some way, it comes out resulting frustration and all. So better not to go for something which doesn't interest you rather to go for low earning, but which is your passion. And i can bet that at the later stages, this earning will come out to be the reverse.

Actually a must watch for parents :) and professors :P

A lesson :S:

Last weekend, I was at my sister's place just to chill out with my di n jiju and ofcourse my cute nephew (but he hits me a lot) and ma niece. My niece is in class V, i guess. I was just sitting besides her and was looking how she was completing her homework, without which she wouldn't be allowed to go to play Chhupan-chhupai (Hide and Seek :P) and Kaccha paapad-pakka papad ( that too a street game that children enjoy a lot) and badminton and lots of other things which she would love to do. This reminded me of my childhood days in which i would also do the same kind of activities.

There is one thing called escaping, which everyone does to easen up their work. People do what they like to do. She was doing so because she would like to play with her friends more than completing her homework. But because she wouldn't be allowed to do her favorite thing before that, she was actually trying to complete her work. I remember there was an experiment about identifying some properties of Solids and Liquids, which should be performed at home according to book. And i can bet that, had that experiment been performed at home, she would love to do that rather to play her favorite games. However she knew all of the answers anyhow, she rather ticked all the answers without even reading that.

Everything which can be made interesting, should be made interesting. And everything which comes in your way has some reason. Don't think that this is such a waste. But the thing is, we realise it a little late.

Confessions of an employed engineer :P

Hmmmmm...it's been quite a long time i have put a single word on my blog...ohh rather our blog....but its a different thing that she has been disappeared somewhere in the trap of jungles of IT world..[:D] Well a lot is similar with me too [:P]

It's been almost two and a half months now working in the Samsung. Among almost 100 freshers joined, 5o got into SEL (that is mine too) Software Engineering Labs.....waaoww the name seems too techie...isn't it??? So finally we people got some real work to do.....working on the silly issues of mobile which any layman hardly even notice...called bug :P in our language..... But when it comes to solving the issue, we find ouselves got stuck into the ajanta alora caves such that we couldn't even get out of them in our dreams......hehe....but yeah it sometimes happen when you suddenly wake up finding a solution to an issue assigned to you 5 days back!!! lolzzzz

It's not like i am not liking my work, rather sometimes i work overtime as well even when not required. But truth is truth and you can't escape from that that you don't get much time for yourself!!! Somewhere around 2 weeks back, it was happening with me that i was sleeping because i had to wake up the next morning or else i will ruin my next day in the office. This is really terrible..But then it wont take much time to settle down with your routine and all the stuff you want to do.

Honeymoon period :P

Well it may not be a new thing for many of the people. But for me, it was for the first time the kind of experience i had in hotel and the professional attitude. For the first time, someone gave such a respect, took my luggage to the room and lots many things; afterall the name of Samsung is attached with us now. [:)] Samsung Employees!!! And den after entering in d room, it was too good to see the room. Everything from TV, Refrigerator, Miccrowave to even LAN connection for Internet!!!and with swimming pool, gym around..... it felt like...waowww man..

And then came the first day in the office [:P]......some senior level management gave us the brief introduction about the company. And its like, when people get professional, their name too seems like professional [:P] .. We had an ice breaking session initially followed by lunch and joining formalities. And the professional day was over!!! What a honeymoon period in d cmpny !!!! It shouldnt last :P :P :P

Confessions of a born unemployed engineer :P :P

It had been more than three months i was sitting at home idle. [:(] Although i had given 3 interviews in between and two got cleared as well but still there was not even a single good omen or signal that was worth making me excited. Well, i had started counting every night passing :P and a little happier that one more day had passed ...lolzzz .... but yeah seriously it was happening. Because people who were able to secure merely a single job had gone at their respective workplaces and I was so unlucky that, even after getting almost five jobs, had nothing in hand as such.

But then one day, I was just wondering and was at my friend's place. A friend of mine, Kakkar, called me up , and said, our joining of Samsung had been preponed by five months. Well it may not had been a great news for many of us, but for me, all of my tension releived by then. [:)] I couldn't believe him because usually it was his habit of saying chutiaaps..:P :P (sry for d abusive language but nothing else was coming to my mind). I confirmed the news from so many places...lolzz... sry kakkar.. :P

And yeah I am very happy now!!!

How To Go About Ur Soulmate Hunt ?

From my personal experiences and from the people around me I have come to a conclusion that one should not rush into any relationship. It could be too soon to commit to someone you have known just for a while. Life’s decisions should not be taken in a jiffy. Well here I am not talking about the time pass affairs which most of the people have. I am talking about the serious ones. The ones you want to spend your life with.

There should be a courtship period initially. In the courtship period only, you will get to know what a guy really wants. You have to see if he takes his decision himself or he consults 50 people before making a decision. If a guy always tells you that he will do whatever you want him to do, don’t let him do it. Try to know what he wants. And please don’t be dumb enough to ask him straight on his face what he wants. Nobody will tell you his intentions just like that.

But you can read intentions in their actions, what he does, where he touches you, where he is trying to kiss you, they all speak loudly of their intentions, please give it a serious thought. What kind of an environment he creates matters a lot. If he's keeping things natural as they are or trying to change it to fit his needs, it all matters

What he does and what drives him to do that. Which things led to his real intentions. If someone's trying to flatter you out of the blue moon, take it for granted that he is upto something. You will hardly ever get help genuinely from others. Happiness coming from 'people' is not always genuine. There are people who think about their profit.

And on a serious and decency note, there should be no sleeping together, if a guy forces you to do so then make it a BIG NO NO. The guy does not deserve you then. Today most number of guys think in this way, all they think about girls is sex nothing NOTHING else to talk about. One more thing, doing things in name of love is the worst idiotic reason. Kissing out of emotions is fine but kissing for sake of love is dumbest reason to kiss.

It’s very necessary that you spend time together. Spending time doesn't mean shopping somewhere together and eating somewhere together. Spending time with each other is a completely different thing from spending a day together. When we spend time together, we mostly discuss ones thinking. How people judge things. You talk all that. Discussing the materialistic likes and dislikes is highly irrelevant.[Do check that he is not behind you because of your status, your reputation, especially if you are too rich]

And explicitly just lookout for things like, what is his thinking and on what topics.
How does he justify his actions. In what cases he would consider hurting someone, without feeling any guilt. The only point to look is, the guys integrity and his decision making process. If he feels he made a mistake and its much better than blaming someone else and trying to justify his own position

Ya and these things you just don’t get to know them very easily. So the venue doesn't matter, till you get to know all these things about him don't go ahead with a relationship.

Don’t be impatient. These things often take time. And these things often happen in courtship, which should never be missing. It might take 3-5 yrs or even 6 months can be enough to know a person. It all depends on how seriously and how honestly you have interacted with each other. You shouldn’t hide anything thinking that it might hurt the other person. If you have a doubt on any part of his life, wait till he talks about it. How honestly he or she talks to you matters. How much a person pretends in front of you, that much you should avoid him. In a relationship, each other should stay in their respective comfort levels. If u r comfortable with each other then only u should think about future. If each others company does not make u comfortable then there is no point continuing that relation.

It’s not possible that one can lie to himself all his life. Just because you love someone and so you keep telling yourself that " I should be more understanding and accept all his problematic things " one should not keep such bullshit thinking. Because at the first place his problematic things will never allow you to love him. I am saying in the sense that you cannot lie and console yourself all your life. And the decision of spending your whole life with someone is a serious matter. It’s the matter of your whole life and life is like up to 80 years. The person you want to spend the rest of your 50 years, wont you think even a bit about him. Is it possible that one stays comfortable living a lie for 50 yrs. Just think it for urself.

Beauty of Coincidence

Heyy...What a beautiful tagline...Beauty of Coincidence....isn't it??

Actually it is not just a tagline!!! Was concocted by us after much consideration..

It was like just another day when she asked me about some info related to Cisco..I told what all i knew (afterall a girl was asking :P) But finally... hua kisi ka nhi :( ... Then we started chatting a lot ...finally striked with the idea of blogging together!!!

Hope this coincidence contains beauty forever!!!

Our First Time :)

Hold it there, now dont get any ideas. The title means that this is our( mohit and me ) first joint venture. Just today when mohit and me were chatting. Both of us realised how vella we were since we got nothing to do. And then it struck to both of us that we could try our hands on blogging. atleast giving our honest opinions, presenting what we feel on certain topics or just generally blabber about anthing could keep us a little busy.

And theres a personal tinch also to starting this blog. I have been reading so many ppl's blog and I just love them. Different people have so many different things to say. Some blogs are emotional, some are career oriented, some on politics and many more. Its really very interesting what one can do with words. I used to always wonder when i would be able to run a blog of my own and if i could do that magic with words.

This a very special space for us to just go bla bla bla. Although the content of this blog can not be categorised, since we both will be versatile in our writings. I just wish what we both started today goes a long way and we keep blogging for years to come. Cheers !!!
Hi Sonika!!!
