Last weekend, I was at my sister's place just to chill out with my di n jiju and ofcourse my cute nephew (but he hits me a lot) and ma niece. My niece is in class V, i guess. I was just sitting besides her and was looking how she was completing her homework, without which she wouldn't be allowed to go to play Chhupan-chhupai (Hide and Seek :P) and Kaccha paapad-pakka papad ( that too a street game that children enjoy a lot) and badminton and lots of other things which she would love to do. This reminded me of my childhood days in which i would also do the same kind of activities.
There is one thing called escaping, which everyone does to easen up their work. People do what they like to do. She was doing so because she would like to play with her friends more than completing her homework. But because she wouldn't be allowed to do her favorite thing before that, she was actually trying to complete her work. I remember there was an experiment about identifying some properties of Solids and Liquids, which should be performed at home according to book. And i can bet that, had that experiment been performed at home, she would love to do that rather to play her favorite games. However she knew all of the answers anyhow, she rather ticked all the answers without even reading that.
Everything which can be made interesting, should be made interesting. And everything which comes in your way has some reason. Don't think that this is such a waste. But the thing is, we realise it a little late.
